October 2010

Now this was a busy month!

First, Taylor had her very first soccer game. She has been enrolled in a program at school called Happy Feet. Then they started an outdoor league so I enrolled her. It was hit and miss but towards the end of the season she was really getting in to it. So, we will be doing this again in the spring.

My sister and her family were here for her first game. Not only was it the first game but it was the first weekend of the fair and we had Disney on Ice tickets. So after the soccer game, we headed out to the fair. Justin was out of town so it was my sister, her family and my brother. We had a great time. Ate lots of fair food, of course. The girls split off from the guys and went to Disney on Ice and had a blast. It was such a great show. Everyone really enjoyed it!!! It was even better than last year which I did not think was possible. After that the girls road rides and played games. This is the first year that Taylor has been in to the rides, she loved them!

Then we had a birthday party at my house for Monica. We had a great dinner and cake and ice cream of course. We were all so tired - such a long day!

A week later, we had Peyton's party at the Little Gym. Taylor hadn't been there in a long time so of course she was excited. LOVE THE BALANCE BEAM.

Next, Grandma came to visit. She wanted to see a soccer game. So we did that, shopped a bit and then hung at the house. We made some wonderful homemade lasagna for dinner and made homemade Halloween cookies for dessert! Taylor loves sprinkles. They were yummy and I am pretty sure I ate most of them.....

Then we had Taylor's Halloween party at school. She loves dressing up with her friends. They did the trick or treating thing and all of us parents go up and pass out candy. Then they had their classroom party and bobbed for apples. She had absolutely no interest. It was a little sad b/c she got a little embarrased b/c all eyes were on her and she didn't want to do it. I was kind of glad she didn't - GERMS!!!

We had everyone over for Halloween like we did last year. All the kiddos trick or treated, played and ate and I made chili for the adults. Had a great time!!!
