She still is not walking yet, but she is cruising around everything. She stands up all of the time. She actually took her first two steps last week and did that a few times. We are working on it and she will be off and running before we know it!
We have been really busy - we went to Springfield for the 4th of July and hung out by the pool, cooked out and shot off fireworks. Taylor saw the first couple of fireworks and then fell asleep. I could not believe that she slept through all of it! Didn't seem to have a lot of interest obviously.
She is out of school for a week August 8-11 and her Aunt Amber and Cousins Jasey and Monica are coming down to hang out for a few days or more. Then when she goes back which is August 18th, she moves up to the next room which is Toddler Nursery. All of the kids in her classroom are moving up too so she will have all of the same friends. New teachers though and this is sad b/c we have become very attached to the ones she has now. They have become quite attached to Taylor as well. They are really sad and are dreading the day. She will no longer have a morning nap so the first couple of weeks should be a little rough. We will see. Hopefully we will all adjust just fine.
There is a place called The Little Gym here. They take kids as early as 4 months old. We went last weekend for a trial class to see how she would like it. She had a BLAST! They do some group activities that includes ball and bubble time and lots of music. Then they break out and have "open gym" and let them run around and play. They have balance beams, uneven bars, and lots of mats and things for her to climb on. We are going to go ahead and enroll her for the fall and let her start going on Saturday mornings. I think she will really enjoy herself.
We have already spent quite a bit of time at the horse races. Her Papa has horses that run so we go out and watch them. She really enjoys this. She gets sooooo excited when she sees the horses and if you ask her where they are she bounces up and down and points and jabbers like she is telling you all about it. It is a lot of fun to watch her.
Her vocabulary is getting bigger and bigger. She is quite the talker! (We are still trying to figure out where she gets that-ha ha) She now says "all done","good girl", "ta da", "no no", "go", "oh man" and Justin started working with her last night to say "touchdown"! She is just a lot of fun right now. We simply cannot get enough of her!
